Instagram has been a very popular social media website for picture sharing for quite a few years.
Now the site is starting to catch up with some of the other social media sites with what they are changing and offering. (Now that Social Media can be your PR to your Digital Reputation.)
With that being the case, it is time to share some of the amazing Instagram news.
1. Video Calls From Direct Message
Everyone knows that Facebook messenger has managed to land some great features like direct calls. However, Instagram has finally caught up to this and have started to allow for video calling in the direct message features. What is great about this feature is it will remind you a lot of the party calls you may have seen if you are old enough to remember these.
That is because you can have the direct message video chat calls, but instead of these being just one person talking to another person you will find you can have up to four people on the call.
This update is being rolled out, so not everyone will have this feature already.
What else you will find is it is only available for people who you have direct messaged.
When you do go into your next direct message you will find if you are capable for the video message it will have the little video icon already in place. You just have to push this button and know that you will be able to video chat with the other person if they have obtained the update as well.
2. Ability To Add Music To Stories
The Instagram stories feature is a huge hit and it is definitely something that a lot of people have really started to take advantage of when it comes to the great sounds they want to have.
However, what people need to realize is it used to be very difficult to add music to the stories to make them more attractive to the viewers.
With this new feature, you have a chance to add music to your stories. The music tracks are going to make it easier for you to have a larger following, but also instead of just having a playlist going through, it will allow you to have some music playing that is going to keep people interested in the video or story that you are using to feature what you are looking for.
The best part is, adding in the music is very easy to do.
When you are using this feature you will find that in the non-iOS systems you will be able to get the music added in after you have recorded the video. This is going to make it easier for you to get the music sticker hit and then you can add in your music.
If you are using an iOS system you have a chance to use the music before you have recorded which allows you to adapt the video or story to the music you are going to use.
It is important to note that in some of the devices this update is still being rolled out.
3. A New Explorer Tab
This is a feature that has a lot of people being very happy because the explorer or search bar on the site was very lacking. The new features with this are going to make it easier for you to find the information that you want by searching in different ways.
This is going to make it easier for you to find everything that you need to have and know it is going to work for you.
What else is nice about the new explorer tab is the fact that you are going to have a chance to find information based off of your likes and dislikes. They are going to have a new option that is called for you.
When you are using this feature you will notice that it will be almost like a Pinterest like search and it will have some of the searches popped up based off of what you are have looked for in the past. This is going to make it easier for you to find images of something that you have looked for in the past and know that it will work for what you are currently looking for.
Being able to find out about some of the new features that are coming out for the very popular site Instagram is a good thing. The problem that a lot of people have is they are not sure about these new features and often avoid going to the site because they think the features are not coming.
This is when you should know about some of these new features and how amazing these are going to be for helping you in getting the great following you want to have.
